I think PA is very kind and personable and listens to me, but like most medical appointments, there isn't much they can do and knowledge about what can be done is also lacking. The appointment was to check my xray to see if it changed or not and that's all I expected to get from it. They don't know the cause of scoliosis nor do they give any confidence that it can be fixed, only maintained. My visit three years ago, the PA didn't think my right foot pain was related to my spine or back, but this visit it was discussed that it could possibly be sciatica. I'm disappointed that this wasn't discussed years ago as a possibility. I wanted to understand if the curve of my spine could be causing the problems in the right side of my body and she stopped me while I was talking to say "she doesn't discuss the biomichanics of things." So what exactly does she do?
