Ryan Lesh, MD, is an anesthesiologist whose clinical interests include pulmonary physiology and ventilation mechanics for patients getting general anesthesia.
He enjoys reviewing pulmonary physiology with residents and medical students. He serves as guest faculty in a fourth-year medical school course that explores patient suffering and how doctors respond to it.
He earned his medical degree at the University of Virginia, where he also completed his anesthesiology residency and his basic science research fellowship in the Department of Molecular Physiology and Biophysics.
In 2006, he completed a master of divinity degree through the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, CA, and was ordained to the priesthood in the Episcopal Church. He serves as a Sunday supply priest, often in small local parishes.
