Matthew Meadows, DMSc, PA-C, is a cardiology and electrophysiology physician assistant.

He grew up in Lynchburg and completed his undergraduate degree from the University of Lynchburg, where he majored in biology and played lacrosse. He also earned his master’s of physician assistant medicine and doctor of medical science degrees from the University of Lynchburg. His training included a general cardiology PA fellowship from the Centra Heart and Vascular Institute.

Outside of work, he enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and their black lab. His interests include golfing, fly fishing, and running.

Matthew was wonderful discussed my condition and now I know more than I have known since the stint was put in, in 2018. I rate him a 20 out of an option of 1 to 10. He cared about my being educated on the heart and breathing issues I have been experiencing. This young man was excellent in every way. He will be returning to the UVA Main Hospital and I will really miss him. I hope I will never need him in heart surgery but if so I will know I am in the hands of the best.

Appear in a rush and only wanted to address my pacemaker & said that was the only reason for visit. Did not want to address any other problem.
