Lori Lute, MSN, RN, ACNP, is a nurse practitioner with the Heart and Vascular Center. Her clinical interests include general cardiology and electrophysiology. She has worked in cardiology since 2012.

"I enjoy working with patients and helping them reach their healthcare goals," Lori says. "I partner with patients to provide an individualized plan of care to treat existing cardiac problems and prevent the development of future issues."

Lori grew up in Halifax County. She graduated from the University of Virginia with a master of science in nursing. In addition to her current experience in the clinic setting, she has worked with cardiac patients who are hospitalized, including seeing them before and after procedures.

This appt. included answering upcoming surgery on my knee. Lori took time to look at my history and explain my past tests and present condition would affect surgery. I was extremely grateful to how she put my anxiety to rest.
