Yalanda Glenn, DSW, LCSW, PMH-C, is a licensed clinical social worker. Her clinical interests include maternal mental health (pregnancy and postpartum) and women’s issues.
Her research focuses on Black maternal mental health and creating programming to assist with treating perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs) in the Black rural community.
“I believe in meeting each person where they are,” she says. “You have your expertise, because you know yourself, and I have my expertise. Together, we will create a plan to help you achieve your goals.”
She decided to become a social worker after she was cared for by a kind and caring social worker during a medical crisis.
She studied political science at Carson-Newman University in Jefferson City, TN. She received a master of studies in law degree from the University of Pittsburgh, where she also earned her master’s degree in social work. She earned her doctor of social work degree from Simmons University in Boston. She is also certified in perinatal mental health.
