Mary Jo Endahl, CNM, RN, BSN, is a certified nurse midwife who provides prenatal, labor and birth, and postpartum care, along with contraception, well woman exams, and gynecology services.

“I care deeply about my patients and understanding what is important to them in their care,” she says. “I love getting to know families over multiple visits in pregnancy, listening to their stories and hopes for their birth and their families.”

Mary Jo grew up in western Pennsylvania and attended Yale College where she studied sociology with a specialty in public health. She earned her master of science in nursing with a specialty in midwifery from Vanderbilt University.

“I love doing prenatal education and spending time discussing the nuances of topics, such as what to expect at the hospital and how to treat discomforts of pregnancy,” she said.

Mary Jo is married with two young children and enjoys her morning coffee, walking in nature, vegetarian cooking, and working out on her Peloton.
