Bio & Overview
Lee Klemptner, MSN, AG-ACNP, is a certified adult gerontology acute care nurse practitioner.
As part of the UVA Palliative Care team, she provides holistic care and support to patients faced with a serious illness.
“I feel strongly about approaching patients with empathy and a listening ear,” she says.
Lee worked as a registered nurse for three decades, primarily in outpatient settings, including home health and home hospice, before seeking to advance her training.
“I wanted to provide a higher level of care for my patients, so I went back to school,” she says.
Through a UVA postgraduate program, Klemptner attained her Master of Science in Nursing degree and became a certified adult gerontology acute care nurse practitioner (AG-ACNP) in 2023.
Part of a military family, Klemptner moved frequently during her childhood and now relishes the ability to put down roots in Stanardsville, Virginia.
She is married with three grown children and lots of animals, and she’s a big Jimmy Buffett fan.
