Katherine Wu, MD, is a psychiatrist. Her approach includes looking at people holistically in their sociocultural environment.
“I’m always trying to be curious about their inner psychological lives and the scientific discoveries that could improve their care,” she says.
Wu grew up in Columbus, OH, and earned her medical degree from Kent State University/Northeast Ohio Medical University. While in medical school, she also completed a master’s degree in medical ethics and humanities. She completed her residency at the University of Virginia, where she was chief resident in consultation-liaison psychiatry.
