Highlights
Meet Liver Transplant Surgeon Juan Francisco Guerra, MD
My name is Juan Francisco Guerra. I'm the director of the liver transplant program here at UVA Health. I'm a liver surgeon, so I see patients all across the spectrum with liver disease. Literally, I see patients that need a liver biopsy all the way towards a patient needing a liver transplant. I really love being a liver surgeon. I think it's the coolest thing. I love my job and my whole brain and my whole heart is fully committed to that patient when I'm seeing them. Here at the transplant center here at UVA Health, we take care of every single aspect of what our patient needs. I really believe that transplant is the paradigm of multidisciplinary care and we have all the specialists dedicated, fully dedicated, to take care of complex patients such as transplant patients.
