Jonathan R Crowe, MD

Jonathan Crowe, MD, MPH, MSc, is a neurologist. He treats patients who have experienced a stroke or have warning signs of a stroke.

Dr. Crowe completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Virginia. He earned an MSc with Merit in Global Politics at the London School of Economics and Political Science. He also earned a Master of Public Health at Johns Hopkins University. He maintains active interests in health policy and improving healthcare delivery.

He earned his medical degree at the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University in Augusta, Georgia. While there, he won an Excellence in Public Health Award from the US Public Health Service.

He completed his internal medicine internship at Harvard Medical School’s Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, MA. Then, he completed a combined neurology residency at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital, where he served as a chief resident. He also completed a vascular neurology fellowship in the combined Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital program.

His approach to patient care is based on listening and good communication.

“I spend a lot of time listening to patients’ stories and trying to understand their perspective on what happened to them,” he says. “I find this gives patients an important space to be heard. It also gives me a great deal of useful information. I use that information to make personalized recommendations to help patients reduce their risk of stroke in the future,” he says.
