Gina Haislip, AG-ACNP

Gina Haislip Haislip, AG-ACNP, is a board certified nurse practioner who began her career at UVA Health in 2014. She is part of the team who cares for patients who need neck surgery.

“I love taking care of patients and making their hospital stay better,” she says. “This patient population can be very complex especially after total laryngectomy and tracheostomy surgeries. I have worked with neck cancer patients since 2014 as a bedside nurse and knew I could make a noticeable difference in their lives as a nurse practitioner. We have wonderful ENT surgeons and I enjoy working with all of them.”

Gina was born in Schwäbisch Gmünd, Germany and moved to Virginia when she was 10 years old. She attended Albemarle High School, Piedmont Virginia Community College, and received both her RN and NP degrees from University of Virginia. She’s been with UVA Health since being a volunteer as an undergraduate student.
