Erin spent quality time with me, listening carefully, explaining the results of my tests and the options for treatment. I don't think I've ever had such a positive interaction with anyone in cardiology before -- not that other people haven't been good -- but Erin helped me feel heard, seen, understood and cared for. She exuded professionalism and expertise but not at the expense of human caring and listening. Her attention to my care extended to addressing my obvious fears and worries about my physical symptoms. She helped place them in the context of my test and physical exam results, and by presenting a plan of care/action, she helped me feel calm and confident about next steps. She referred me to a more specialized cardiologist and explained why. When I was in the room with Erin, I felt she was completely focused on me, my specific situation, and how I could get the best possible care. I am extremely grateful.
