Bio & Overview
Emily Schneiderman, AG-ACNP, is an acute care nurse practitioner for the inpatient palliative care team. She cares for patients who are enduring chronic illness or nearing end of life by helping relieve pain and extending comfort and support to patients and families.
Emily started at George Mason University, heading toward a career in political science. But after a summer job at a local hospital, Emily fell in love with patient care and switched her major to nursing. In 2003, she started a residency program in the Coronary Care Unit at UVA Health and found her passion for the heart.
In 2015, she joined the TCV ICU team while working on her master’s degree at the University of Virginia. She recently obtained her DNP (Doctor of Nursing Practice) from James Madison University and started in her role with the palliative team in 2022.
Emily is also board certified by the American Association of Critical Care Nurses.
A lifelong resident of Virginia, Emily grew up in the Shenandoah Valley. She lives in Nelson County with her family on their aspiring hobby farm.
