Bio & Overview

Daniel Sullivan, DO, is a physiatrist who specializes in caring for people with stroke, brain injury, and spinal cord injuries.

“I try to approach and talk to my patients at their level,” he says.

Dr. Sullivan was raised in a large family outside of Boston, where sports was an important part of his life. He wanted to become a doctor after his older brother sustained a severe traumatic brain injury as a teenager and required extensive rehabilitation.

He received his medical degree from the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific in Pomona, CA, and completed his physical medicine and rehabilitation residency at the University of Virginia. Dr. Sullivan previously worked in private practice and inpatient rehab.

Outside of work, he coaches local high school track and field teams.
