Bio & Overview
Aileen Giordano, MD, FAAPMR, is the program director for stroke rehabilitation for the UVA Health Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
Dr. Giordano attended the University of Virginia, where she studied English. She remained at UVA to attend medical school and complete her residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation.
She was chief resident at UVA and the regional editor of Rehab in Review, as well as a volunteer team leader for the Charlottesville Free Clinic Diabetes Telemedicine Program.
She received awards for her teaching and scholarship. Dr. Giordano is the author of numerous posters, presentations, and lectures on topics in physical medicine and rehabilitation. She is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
