Steven von Elten, MD, is a family medicine physician who treats patients at Piedmont Family Medicine Warrenton.
Over the years, he has been board certified in emergency medicine, clinical lipidology, geriatrics, neurosonology, and the interpretation of electrocardiograms.
Dr. von Elten graduated from the College of William and Mary with a degree in biology. While at William and Mary, he was selected to the Honors Program. He attended medical school at the Medical College of Virginia, where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Society.
“I choose family medicine because it allows me to get to know not only my patient but the entire family,” he says. “This helps to establish trust and better understand the patient.”
In his spare time, Dr. von Elten enjoys working on his farm, cooking, and fly fishing.
