Made me feel safe and comfortable during my visit will be scheduling with her again!
I loved the nurse practitioner. She was very friendly and sociable. My only concern was how she treated my appointment more like what she called a "pregnancy intake" appointment rather than listening to the reason for my appointment. She explained they needed a starting point of a blood test, and that was all they accomplished. That's fair. The reason for my appointment was I wanted to discuss a potential genetic prone to chronic miscarriages with a doctor. I explained how I had such an obvious miscarriage. I even explained how this is not my first or only suspected miscarriage. I explained how my mother had to go on medication to prevent from miscarrying me after she happened to visit a fertility specialist who tested for it. I looked up my mom's description online and discovered that my mom may be talking about a progesterone prescription. Or perhaps I simply need lifestyle changes to reduce the risk of miscarriage. For example, over consumption of caffeine. This is what I wanted to discuss with a doctor, not to find out if I was pregnant or not. I know I am not pregnant anymore. As long as the blood test wasn't simply to find out if I was pregnant or not; as long as they are testing for the same condition my mom had. That's all I care about at the moment.
I always recommend you guys, so to see bad reviews online is crazy. I've been coming here about 16 years now.
Sonia Parker, NP, is a fantastic health care provider. She is a complete professional, she communicates AND listens well, and she displays care and empathy. Her bedside manner is second to none. I feel seen and heard by Sonia. She is thorough and knowledgeable. Sonia is the care provide gold standard!
