Bio & Overview

Pamela Oakley-Whiting, RN, MSN, FNP, is a family nurse practitioner who takes a holistic approach in caring for patients of all ages. She has a special interest in healthy aging, preventive medicine, genetic disorders, and hormone therapy.

Pam was born in Mobile, Alabama, but traveled the world as a child of a military member. Pam completed her nursing degrees at Rivier University in New Hampshire and Marymount University in Arlington. She has been at UVA Health since 2014.

Active in the equestrian community, Pam loves to travel with her horses. Pam has three children and seven grandchildren. She enjoys working on her farm with her animals and taking care of people.

There was a power outage. This is my yearly wellness visit where I need to get thyroid/breast exam as early warning system. Zero PE exam was done nor offered to be done at a later time. Pam did say "sorry no breast exam." After the fact, I have written her via MyChart to request that I be able to return to complete my Wellness Exam and get the actual physical part of it, which is very important. Waiting to hear back from them.
