She listened, provided very helpful information, and answered all my questions.

I asked some questions about alternative medications and was given immediate answers giving me the perception that NP Oteng knew her field very well. I was very confident with the advise she gave. Not easy to gain trust within the few minutes of contact. But of course this trust was built on previous other contacts with uva. Always impressed me by the team culture, professionalism and you can see management excellence in all the Frontline and professional services.

Patience Oteng is wonderfulI've been seeing her for about 3 years related sepsis, from a kidney stone, that lead to a diagnosis of MBC. Crazy. And I am lucky to have her as my liaison.

I'm repeating my comments about Physician Assistant Patience Oteng: Patience Oteng is an excellent PA. I went to the ER in early October 2024 with severe back pain. While there, I was diagnosed with kidney stones. Using a CAT scan taken from an appointment with the UVA Spine Center earlier this month, Patience Oteng explained very clearly that I do NOT have kidney stones -- and never have. My back pain stems from advanced degeneration of the L5-S1 disc which was recently confirmed by the UVA Spine Center. Patience Oteng's expertise and professionalism are very much appreciated.

Patience O'Teng was my NP. Super knowledgeable and very caring! Patience is a perfect name for her! I have been to four offices and seen at least five medical professionals. MS. O'Teng was the FIRST one to take the time to explain my situstion and medical options. Loved her!
