Mohammed A Razvi, MD

Mohammed A. Razvi, MD, is a gastroenterologist who cares for people with conditions that affect the gastrointestinal (GI) tract and liver. Conditions he treats include:

• Chronic constipation
• Crohn’s disease
• Gastroesophageal reflux disease
• Inflammatory bowel disease
• Ulcerative colitis

Dr. Razvi was born in Washington, DC, and grew up in Maryland. He chose to become a doctor because he wanted to make the lives of others around him better, particularly his neighbors and community members.

He received his medical degree from George Washington University and completed his internal medicine residency at Emory University in Atlanta. He completed his gastroenterology fellowship at Johns Hopkins University, where he focused on developing a clinical and research interest in inflammatory bowel disease, including Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. 

“My goal is to listen to the patient first and foremost and allow the patient to feel comfortable in a safe and non-judgmental space so that a long term relationship between doctor and patient can be fostered successfully,” he says. “I believe that shared decision making helps patients stay involved in their healthcare and feel confident that they have all the tools they need to make the right decisions for themselves with professional guidance.”
