Bio & Overview
Mary Hampton, AG-ACNP, is a nurse practitioner who cares for acute and critically ill patients.
She was born and raised in Fauquier County and knew she wanted to become a nurse from a young age. She was a candy striper at Fauquier Hospital at age 13 and became a certified nursing assistant at 18.
She went on to earn a degree in health assessment and promotion with a minor in chronic illness from James Madison University. While at JMU, she completed two internships at Fauquier Hospital in interventional radiology and outpatient procedures.
Hampton earned her nursing degree from George Washington University and completed the nurse residency program at UVA Health. She earned her master’s degree in nursing from UVA, specializing as an adult gerontology acute care nurse practitioner.
