Dr. Came in while I was changing. No knock. I kept calling out to wait a minute. It was awkward for me.

I have never experienced such a rushed physical exam as the one I had this week. I waited 20 minutes for the physician's arrival. She and a nurse entered with interns; physician didn't pause to greet me or explain role of interns. She pulled the sheet from my body (I was sitting upright), asked If I had concerns, then did a cursory view of my body, announcing I would need to use a prescription to deal with cancerous spots on my forehead. (I then asked her to check other areas of my body.) The nurse who was in attendance must have noticed how rattled I was; she said she would post notes in MY Chart so I could review them when I got home. My goodness; I have never experienced such brusque and impersonal behavior at UVA! I'm used to a physician offering a greeting, asking if I have concerns, then doing a thorough exam. I know the nurse sensed my discomfort/concern; she said she would post notes for me to review when I got home. I think I need to find a new dermatologist!!!
