Bio & Overview
Katharine Wick, AG-ACNP, is a nurse practitioner who cares for patients with a heart condition. She also has expertise in caring for patients whose hearts are damaged from cancer treatment.
Before joining UVA in 2021, she worked as a nurse practitioner in the cardiac intensive care unit at Yale New Haven Hospital in Connecticut. She also led prostate oncology clinical research trials at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York.
She earned her master’s degree in nursing with a concentration in oncology (cancer) at Yale University. She also has a bachelor’s degree in neuroscience with a minor in German.
Katharine grew up in the Bay Area of California. She trained and competed in equestrian vaulting at the international level, attending the World Equestrian Games and the World Vaulting Championships.
