Bio & Overview

Dr. Kim joined Culpeper Family Practice in 2011 after practicing as an Army doctor for 17 years.  He held various positions including Commander of US Army Health clinic, Officer in charge of Well Women clinic, Quality Assurance Officer of Fort Belvoir Family Health Center, Faculty of National Capital Consortium Family Medicine Residency, and Assistant Professor of Uniformed Services University of Health Science School of Medicine in Maryland.

He was awarded multiple times for excellence in patient care and patient satisfaction by the Dewitt Health Care Network Commander and numerous Army medals including meritorious service medals, army commendation medals, army achievement medals and a NATO Service Medal, among others.

He has special interest in sports medicine, dermatology, office surgical procedures, and teaching medical students. He is married with three children. He is an active member of Lake Ridge Baptist Church and enjoys hiking, photography, and traveling.

Dr. Kim has been my physician for about 11 years. He knows me well and has always been attentive to my medical issues and concerns. He is great at evaluating my test results and responding to my questions, and has a wealth of knowledge about whatever medical issues we might be discussing. He's also personable and easy to talk to.

Dr. Kim is m primary physician, whom I have seen for 16 years. He is super knowledgeable and I feel total safe in his medical advice and medical care. Best of best, he is always patient and listens to my questions, thinks before he speaks and answers with straight forward answers that I can understand and move forward feeling confident that the medical treatment is a win for my health. You're lucky to have such a MD within this practice.
