Bio & Overview
Jason Laurita, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon who specializes in hip and knee replacements and orthopedic trauma.
“I really do treat every patient like they are family,” he says. “I know what it is like being on the patient’s side, not fully understanding what is happening and needing to trust the doctor. I pride myself on earning that trust and explaining the issue in a way that the patient can understand.”
He was born in the United Kingdom and lived in Europe until he was 16. His mother is Lithuanian and his father is American, and the family lived in England and Eastern Europe before moving to New York and then settling in Maine.
Dr. Laurita earned his medical degree at Dartmouth University and completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Oregon Health and Sciences University. He completed his adult reconstruction fellowship at Houston Methodist Hospital.
