Dimitrios Pousios, MD, is a cardiothoracic surgeon. His specialties include open heart surgery and coronary artery bypass grafting. He also specializes in mitral valve repair and replacement, transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), and multivalve heart surgery.

Dr. Pousios also completed a cardiothoracic surgery fellowship at University Hospital Southampton in the United Kingdom.
As a retired lieutenant colonel in the Greek Army Medical Corps, he feels a kinship with the military community. Outside of work, he enjoys the natural beauty of coastal Virginia and enjoys playing tennis and studying history.
