Biochemical Genetics Department

The Laboratory performs testing for Maple Syrup Urine Disease (MSUD) on pediatric patients who are listed for a liver transplant.

All other testing is sent to Mayo reference lab, including:

  • MSUD for routine monitoring
  • PKU analysis
  • Full Amino Acid profile
  • Organic Acid analysis 

Hours are 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday. All requests for STAT, evening, night, and weekend testing must be made through the Chemistry Resident on-call (PIC 1267).
