Bariatric (Weight Loss) and Obesity Medicine Services

Acid Reflux, Heartburn, and Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD)
Patients with chronic acid reflux and gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) have convenient access to evaluation and treatment options. This disease can cause multiple symptoms such as heartburn, indigestion, chest pain, bitter taste, and more. Not only can it affect quality of life, but it even can cause long-term damage to the esophagus (swallowing pipe).Our team offers expertise, including diagnostic procedures such as upper GI endoscopy (EGD) and targeted surgical and non-surgical care for reflux-related conditions. For patients whose symptoms worsen or continue, despite lifestyle changes and medications, may benefit from treatments such as fundoplication or a hiatal hernia repair (anti-reflux surgery).
