Safety and Feasibility of a Self-Learning Bolus Calculator with Simplified Meal Announcement in Adolescents with Type 1 Diabetes using Automated Insulin Delivery (InsuLearn-SMA Peds)
The purpose of this study is to look at two ways to take insulin at meals. One way uses a button that learns your habits. The other way is counting carbohydrates.. You will need to stay at a local Charlottesville hotel with other study participants for 3 days and 2 nights. You will need to wear the study equipment at home for 7 days before the hotel admission and 7 days after the hotel admission. You will be asked to share 2 weeks of your CGM data before and after the study (optional).The study will last about 3 weeks. Study-related equipment and supplies will be provided at no cost to you. You will be responsible for the cost of your insulin used during the study.
